About Me

My own journey as a first generation high school graduate, queer, white woman contributed to my passion for understanding how my identities and experiences impact how I see myself and advocate with those around me. I have and continue to invest in my own growth and I know the value this has given my self--confidence and ability to lead others. As a scholar practitioner, I approach my work by first understanding how systemic inequities operate within everything we do. To create change we must acknowledge our biases, positionality, and power to grow as leaders and teams.  I have gratitude for the mentors and leaders that challenged me to look inward and I am excited to support you on your journey.

In my over 15 year career, I have extensive experience facilitating trainings and workshops with small and large groups on leadership, equity and inclusion, implicit bias, and conflict resolution. In addition to professional experience, I also hold a PhD in Higher Education Leadership, a Master's in Student Affairs in Higher Education, and  Bachelors in Government.

I am a trained Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity (SEED) facilitator, a Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) trained facilitator, and I have completed training and facilitated multiple white Anti-racism caucus groups. I have presented at national and regional conferences, such as NASPA national conference, National Conference on Race and Ethnicity, and the LGBTQIA+ Region 12 Summit on topics of racial justice, equity in higher education, and relationship building. I have also published peer-reviewed journal articles on racism and whiteness in higher education.

I also provide training and consultation to individuals seeking to advance their careers through job applications, salary negotiation, and navigating work conflicts. I am trained through the American Association of University Women (AAUW) in Work Smart & Start Smart: Salary Negotiation. I also have personal experience applying and negotiating for mid- and senior-level positions. I have learned that leading others takes self-work and the ability to adapt and change.

As a coach, I am excited to support you through your own professional journey, from the job search, negotiating employment offers, and leading your teams through change and conflict.
